5 Tips to Live Your Healthiest Summer Yet

Summer is right around the corner, and tis the season for healthy living! As the weather gets a little warmer with each day, we’re taking steps to get a little healthier. Here are 5 easy tips to live your healthiest summer yet.

1. Drink More Water

Have you heard of the 8×8 rule? To keep things simple, the rule of hydration is to drink eight 8 oz. glasses of water each day.

Our tip for getting in that H2O? Invest in a reusable water bottle (in your favorite color!) for convenient, on-the-go hydration!

The health benefits of drinking more water? Endless! Though water has many health benefits, some include increased energy, improved brain function, and better weight control.

2. Catch Some Zzzz’s

Who doesn’t love sleep!? Though we live busy lives, it’s important to make time for sleep each night. How much? A recommended 7-9 hours should do the trick!

The health benefits of sleep? It’s important to your physical and mental health–it even plays a role in healing and repairing your blood vessels and heart! Sleep has been found to play a role in healthy skin, mood, weight control, and clearer thinking.

3. Get Moving

Even if you’re not the biggest fan of a crowded gym, there’s always an enjoyable way to get more active! This one may sound like a no-brainer, but more exercise leads to better health!

But how can you incorporate exercise into your daily routine without hitting the gym? Start by parking further away than you normally would for a longer walk to your car, try taking the stairs, or get off at a different train or bus stop to stroll the rest of the way home.

4. Eat More Whole Foods

5. Get outside!
