By this point in the year, the kids are back in school. Whether this is the first time you’ve sent them off, or you’re already used to the process — we know it can be hard.
Saying goodbye to summer and unlimited time with the kids is tough! But don’t fret; here are some ways you can beat those “back to school blues.”
Pick Up A Hobby

Is there something you’ve always wanted to do? Horseback riding? Book club? Cooking Class? What better time to pick up a hobby than now! Focusing your energy on a new task or learning a new skill will take your mind off of the sadness that most parents feel during the first weeks of the school year.
Reconnect With Your Significant Other
Go on a date night! What better window do you have to spend some quality time with your other half than when you are kid free! Take this time to check in with your partner. If you don’t have a partner — same goes for friends! Get some quality time in with your pals.
Treat Yourself!

Take that spa day, wine tasting or whatever luxury you’ve been pondering for a while. You deserve it!
Exercise

They aren’t kidding when they say that exercise is really the best medicine. Endorphins surge to make you feel better and more motivated to take on the day. While your kids are improving their minds, you can improve your well-being. Win-win!
Do What You Love

Whatever it may be: writing, drawing, reading — doing something you’re passionate about and genuinely love doing is sure to get you feeling better in no time.
What do you do to beat the back to school blues?
Shopping by myself is very refreshing for me. While my older two are in school and my little one is at dance class I hit the store for some me time to look at things I like and try on clothes alone. That hour is truly refreshing and rejuvenating.
Need help! My kids are on virtual academy there home all day, need a break? #backtoschoolblues
My little guy attends virtual school too
#backtoschoolblues kids already wish winter break was here. Homework is too much to handle.
My youngest of 3 hates going to school, its a struggle everyday. No bullies, not bored, just doesnt like it. Wish I could kick those #backtoschoolblues for him… 🙁
Back to school blues?? I love my children with all my heart, but back to school is the best time of the year. My kids thrive on the routine of school and knowing what is expected everyday! They drive me completely crazy all summer that they miss their friends and want to go back to school. NO BLUES HERE!
