We all probably wish we had a little bit more space, right? But did you know you could be making more room in your home by getting rid of things you already have? Here are some ways that you can make remove clutter from your living space without even thinking about it.
Donate Or Sell Clothes

Fashion comes and goes, so this means we all probably have clothes lying around that we don’t ever wear anymore. So, get rid of them! Those old things that you don’t like anymore could be someone’s cup of tea! You can sell them at thrift stores, online retailers or a flea market. You can also donate clothes to places like Goodwill.
Get Rid Of Old Jewelry

You probably have some jewelry that you don’t like anymore, right? Or that an ex got you? Why not take that over to a pawn shop or sell online? No use in things you don’t like taking up precious space.
Sell Old Books

Even if you are the most avid reader — sometimes there are books we just plain ‘ol don’t like! You can take these to a book store and make back some money. It’s also a good idea when you just have too many books piling up and want to make some space or get them out of the way during your spring cleaning.
Have A Yard Sale

A little old-fashioned, but a yard sale is a classic way to de-clutter and get in some quality time with the neighbors!
Sell Your Crafts

Love to craft? Are you a DIY Diva? Instead of just crafting for yourself, spread the love by selling on sites like Etsy to get your crafts out there! This will also help to clear up clutter if you have a lot of your crafts lying around.
What have you done to get some extra space?
I’m working on de-cluttering my craft room and storage rooms. I love to Create and get things in order just in time for the NEXT project
I wish these would have been tips that weren’t obvious/common. I really expected to learn something from this 🙁
Hurray. Started my cleaning wirh yard sales.
Going to go threw my ckitges and items and my son’s will sell threw fb and used sake
Currently doing some organization work in my home. I would also add that the kitchen is a main room that collects clutter. I really enjoy decluttering my home. It can be a challenge to find what system really works for you and your family but, you can make your whole life easier. I once read an article about how clutter induces stress. I believe this to be true from my own experiences. Great tips.
I have been struggling to clutter my 16 years of stuff I started to collect after losing everything in a house fire. I am physically challenged so it has made things very hard but I have learned a few things, like using things for more than one purpose and that organizing is hard work. I have all the tubs and baskets to fill and the things to fill with but it can be overwhelming. I try to think of one room at a time. I now think if I buy something new I must get rid of 1-2 old things in that category. I have lots of craft and sew fabric and those vacuum bags are great for that. I can see it all in my head, just slow getting to it. I have stopped donating to goodwill, I don’t like how they r jacking up the prices so I go for woman abuse shelters or salvation army. I wish I lived somewhere that would work for a yard sale.
I can’t create I am that unorganized!!!!!!
I actually love the process of getting organized, and one of my favorite places to go when I get that cleaning/organizing urge is to head to the Dollar Tree and an offiice supply store like Staples. You will find TONS of storage solutions, organizer helpers, ideas about how to better organize your own mess, etc. at both stores! And don’t forget a big mess of labels and a Sharpie so you can label all of your newly organized boxes and folders, etc.! 🙂
I use on line yard sales for my county. I typed in Maryland Yard Sales, and then narrowed it down to my specific county. And specific yardsale sites came up to join. BelAir Yard Sale, Bel Air Furniture Sale, Mommies Swap and Sale, Wedding Supplies Sale/Swap, etc. You just take pictures of what you have for sale, price, and where you want to meet (someplace public) and negotiate details on line.
I am getting ready to move, so I am currently doing a lot of sorting, purging, donating and selling! I really do not want to pack this stuff up and move it with me!
