Here at Smiley360, we know that for busy parents the kids always come first. But what about you? After you put your children down for a nap, you might want to also take one yourself! But nap time actually can be a time for you to be productive and get things done that you otherwise wouldn’t have time for. We’ve put together a few ideas for you to think about the next time your little one goes off to dreamland and you have precious moments to yourself.

It may seem simple or silly, but we know that when you’re busy looking after your little one, that even things like personal hygiene can be pushed to the back burner. Nap time is a good time to prioritize yourself, and take time for a nice refreshing shower.

Okay, maybe not “productive,” but you need some relaxation time too! When’s the last time you caught up on your favorite shows? Use your child’s relaxation time as your time to veg and reunite with some of  your favorite characters.

This, like showering, sometimes can go unattended for a while. Take some time to clean up the scruff, or make your legs smooth. You’ll feel so much better!

Sure, they’ll probably get messed up again the second you have to go back to “parent duty,” but sometimes pampering is well worth it!

Clean Your Home

Whether it’s just a quick dusting, mopping of the floors or a full on deep clean you’ll be happy that your living space looks good and is clean which is important for your children.

Eat

Another thing that you always remember for your kids, but not always for yourself — eating! Take this quiet free time to whip up something to regain your strength. You’ll need if for when they wake up!
