With the holidays, comes traveling. You’ll likely be taking a long road trip this winter to visit family or just get some bonding in with the little ones. Road trips don’t have to be stuffy and long, though! We have some tips that’ll make your trip a breeze.

Clean The Car

Nothing is worse than getting into a messy car. Make sure that before you set out on your holiday festivities, that your car is clean and ready to go. Traveling with children is bound to make it messy anyway, so make sure they’re not just adding to the mess!

Bring Entertainment

To ensure that your children are occupied and won’t be saying, “are we there yet?” every five minutes, bring games, coloring books or DVDs to keep them busy throughout your journey. If you have an ipad or phone, that’s also something that they can play with to keep them from realizing how long they’ve been sitting in the car!

Have Cash For Tolls

These days, most of us carry all of our money in plastic form. But most toll booths take good old fashioned paper bills and coins, so make sure you have some on hand to avoid an awkward toll booth debacle.

Make Sure You Have Snacks On Hand

To save money and to keep the kids happy, pack light and non-messy snacks with you so that you don’t have to constantly stop for food.

A cozy kid is a happy kid! Bring things that will keep the kids comfortable and remind them of home so that they won’t get antsy in the car.

With snacks comes responsibility! Having baby wipes and paper towels with you will help when the inevitable spill happens.
