Just one month ago there were quite a few to do lists going around for the beginning of the new year. Now that the resolution fad has died down, we want to remind you that now and everyday is the time to start making better choices and improve your lifestyle. So here’s a short list of things to start doing
in 2014 right now!
Start Being Active
Now we know many of you are active, especially a lot of our Smiley360 members who either work, keep an entire household running, or both! But besides work, school or your kids, actually take some time to make sure you are doing some sort of physical activity on the regular. Remember, exercising is not just about burning calories, but also for using as a vessel to release stress.
Start Showing Love and Appreciation
Call a friend or family member, not on a special occasion, and tell them how much you appreciate them. It takes very little effort but it will definitely make them Smile!
Stop planning something for every second of the day and give yourself a break. Take a minute to sit down and have some leisure time. This means watching tv, going out for a walk, taking a nap or checking your Smiley profile for new missions! After all, your responsibilities will still be there when you get back from your break.
Start Simplifying Your Life

Stop Using Your Phone
If anybody loves social media, it’s us. However, although it’s important to stay connected, it’s not necessary to do it in excess! It’s not impossible to break the bad habit of having your phone glued to your palm. Once you do it, you will be much more present and people around you will notice! You’ll be amazed to see how much better living the moment is as opposed to capturing it. It’s time you stopped missing good conversations just because your head is buried in your phone. So put it down, at least until the Smiley360 mobile app launches later this year!
Stop Trying to Control Everything
You might think this is simply part of who you are, but once you learn to let go of the need to micromanage everything you’ll be incredibly happier. Besides, you can’t possibly control everything but you surely can make yourself sick by trying to.
Stop Giving Up
Constantly believe in yourself and stick by your objectives and you will no longer give up. First off, make sure to set the right type of goals. The best goals are specific, challenging and measurable. For example: a goal of completing at least 3 Smiley missions this year!
Share your thoughts on the list! Have you started to change your life for the better? What are some things you suggest we all start and stop doing immediately?
