Meet Christy, a super Smiley sharer who is passionate about brands! Read her interview below to learn more about her.
Tell us about yourself, your family and where you live!
I’m a busy mom with a 21 yr old out of the home, a severely handicapped teen, a 6yr old preemie and a 3 year old little princess. We are very involved in Special Olympics and League of Dreams in Kern County as well as ballet and dance. I am a stay-at-home mom with my own blog (“The Life and Times of a Stay at Home MOM”) but I assist in the High Schools as a Mobility Aide for the more severe handicapped. I’ve lived in California since 1985 and am transplanted from Illinois (whoop whoop).
How did you discover Smiley360?
I discovered Smiley360, I think from a fellow blogger, as I’ve been a member for a few years and my blog has taken off. A lot of my dear friends have been the ones that led me in a positive direction.
What do you like about being a Smiley member?
I love to try new products and be able to share my knowledge of some of the most or least popular brands on the market. Not least because they are bad or not useful but because they are still so unknown to the consumer
What has been your favorite Smiley360 mission you have ever done and why?
I liked the Sears Holiday Mission because I love to holiday shop and got a nice little gift card to use towards decorations BUT the BIC 4-Color pen was awesome as well because it brought back childhood memories of those styles when I was in grade school.
How do you share when you’re on a mission?
When on a mission I use social media to share a ton but I also have business cards printed up letting people know which companies I ambassador for or participate with.
Do you think it is important for brands to listen to their customers? Why?
It’s absolutely critical for a company to listen to its consumers. Without us the companies couldn’t create a trust with the public, they wouldn’t know what we were needing or looking for and they wouldn’t know what could get them ahead in the game to advance.
Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
I’m really going off the wall here but ANYONE in the world?? I’d love to have my grandmother closer to me, I was transplanted to California many years ago and I have not had the chance to see her but 3 times since I was moved. She is getting up in age and it really bothers me that we have missed so much together. So I guess my dinner guest would not be someone FAMOUS to everyone but someone infamous to ME.
What brands or products could you not live without?
I’m really into make-up eye shadow/eye liner.. Maybelline, Loreal, Cover Girl. Nailpolish.. Wet n Wild, China Glaze, OPI. POPCORN (my go to snack).. SkinnyPOP. And with a house of kids.. TOYS!!! LEGO, anything Nickelodeon or Disney related. Activision is huge here (anything to keep the kids’ minds flourishing).. no blood and guts games, learning and education is HUGE!!
