Hosting the Ultimate Fourth of July Party: Games

Putting together the ultimate party is tough! From invitations and decor, to games and entertainment, gathering ideas can feel like an endless process. Luckily, we’ve managed to collect some engaging and fun-filled games the whole family can enjoy!

Painted Stars Maze

What you’ll need:

  • Star stencil (can be made from an old cardboard box)
  • Construction marking spray (red, white and blue)
  • Large dice

How to play:

  1. Model your maze off of your favorite board game, although we found that Trouble was the easiest to replicate
  2. Take turns rolling the dice and moving the correct number of spaces (or stars!)
  3. First person to reach the middle wins!

Balloon Dart Game

What you’ll need:

  • Red, white and blue balloons
  • Peg board
  • Darts
  • Prizes (candy)

How to play:

  1. Place candy into balloons and then blow balloons up
  2. Arrange different colored balloons to resemble the American flag, attach with tape
  3. Throw darts at balloons

Tin Can Toss

What you’ll need:

  • 6 empty soup cans
  • Patriotic paper
  • Tape
  • 3 wiffle balls

How to play;

  1. Decorate soup cans
  2. Aim balls towards cans

Tic Tac Toe

What you’ll need:

  • 5 wooden X’s
  • 5 wooden O’s
  • Red and blue paint
  • White rope

How to play:

  1. Paint the X’s in one color
  2. Paint 0’s in another color
  3. Arrange rope into a grid, forming a 3-by-3 grid

  1. We love the corn hole game and my beloved made a set for us to set up for our 4th of July BBQ. Everyone loved it and were impressed he’d made it himself~! FUN for all ages~!
