Let’s face it, planning for the holidays can be stressful. It can be hard to keep yourself in check! Instead of letting yourself get caught up in the tizzy that is the holidays, we have a few ideas about how you can keep everything under control.
Make A List

…and check it twice! (Sorry, couldn’t resist). Making a list of everything you have to do is crucial to making sure you have a stress free holiday season. Make sure it has everyone you and your family need gifts for, gift ideas, recipes you intend to make and everyone you need to visit.
Keep A Schedule

While this is similar to making a list – it’s not the same! Make a schedule of holiday parties you and your family are going to, people you are visiting, places you are traveling to and whatever other holiday plans you may have. Keeping a schedule you can look at, whether it’s on a piece of paper or on your phone will help you to be much more on top of things.
Buy Gifts In Advance

There’s nothing worse than scrambling for presents at the last minute! Beat the rush and avoid stress by starting to get your gifts together now…that way you will be much more relaxed by the time December rolls around.
Make Travel Reservations Early

Everyone knows that flight fares increase drastically the closer it gets to the holidays! Make sure you know your plan, and all of your travel plans and agendas are secure well in advance.
Plan Your Outfits

While this is helpful generally in every day life, it will be especially beneficial during the holiday season. Everyone wants to look their best – especially if they are seeing friends and family that they don’t usually see! Make sure everything is ready so you can wow your guests and have more time to do everything else that needs to be done the day of a holiday or party!
What are you most looking forward to about the holidays?
definitely need a to do list. i always forget something.
A holiday to do list is the way to go. Less stressful. I like ticking things off, as it makes me feel like I’m really accomplishing thing So! I have been making lists for myself for years. Even daily lists. Nothing feels better than seeing everything ticked off! And even if I have a few left over, not a prob, put them on the list, and they’ll get done.
My favorite part of the holidays is creating decorations with my family. We are a crafty bunch and have a tradition of giving each family member an ornament we have made. Having a list for your planned craft and the required materials is very helpful. Plus it keeps the little ones busy as you cook 🙂
Very helpful will have try done of these ideals
I try to beat the rush every year lol With three small children, I buy a gift a piece starting in January every month!
My favorite part of the holiday is enjoying special time at church, eating, playing games, opening presents with my family! Its so nice to reconnect and have fun and celebrate Jesus Birth together!
