1. Coconut Oil & Honey Facial Mask

Did you know that Organic Coconut Oil and Raw Honey are amazing for your skin!? Coconut Oil is super hydrating and contains Vitamin E, which is packed with antioxidants and has anti-aging benefits. Honey is made up of antiseptic and antimicrobial properties that are great for healing your skin and keeping bacteria and fungus away. Honey can also be used to brighten your facial complexion. Be sure to double check that the honey is raw and the coconut oil is organic!

Ingredients: 1 Tbsp of Organic Coconut Oil and 1 Tbsp of Raw Honey

Directions: Mix your organic coconut oil and raw honey together until it’s well-mixed. The consistency should be sticky. As you apply the mask, it may seem thick at first, but the honey and coconut oil will eventually warm up and soften on your face, so be prepared for a few drips! Be sure to apply the mask to a clean face.

If you are looking to shrink your pores, you can add a few drops of lemon juice to your mask.

Leave the mask on for about 15-20 minutes and rinse with warm water. Voila! Moisturized, supple, brighter skin!

2. Coffee & Mud Facial Mask

If you suffer from common skin issues, clay masks are perfect for you! Clay masks are extremely versatile, thus making them your one-stop shop when dealing with several common  issues like acne, dullness, inflammation, and even eczema. If you are looking for a mask that is going to deeply cleanse and detoxify your skin, this Coffee & Mud Mask is the one for you! It deeply cleanses and detoxifies the skin, increases blood flow, balances your skin’s pH, and even accelerates the healing of scars.

Ingredients: 2 tsp of cosmetic grade clay (we are using Bentonite Clay which you can find here—this is a fine cream colored clay which has high absorption properties), 1 tsp of Organic Coffee grounds, 1 to 1-1/2 tsp of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (depending on your skin type), and 3-4 drops of tea tree oil.

Directions: Add all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl. Mix all of the ingredients using a wooden or plastic spoon. This will prevent the active clay from drawing out any metals beforehand, thus allowing the mixture to maintain it’s full absorbency. Using your fingers, spread the mask over your cleansed face or desired area. Let it dry for 5–15 minutes or until the mask hardens. Rinse with warm water moving your hands in slight circular motions to remove all of the clay. Once the clay is completely rinsed off of your face, pat dry with a towel and apply moisturizer.

3. Turmeric & Lemon Facial Mask

Do you want to keep your skin hydrated and glowing throughout the upcoming colder months? If so, this mask is for you! It’s not only going to brighten your skin but it’s going to help your acne and oily skin as well.

Turmeric has many benefits that include reducing redness, treating breakouts,  healing psoriasis and eczema, reducing age spots and scarring, and brightening and toning your skin, in addition to other great benefits. Manuka Honey is great for your skin as it fights skin infections, naturally exfoliates and cleanses your pores, rejuvenates radiance and softness, and helps retain its moisture. Lemon juice is high in vitamin C which is essential for brightening and evening out your skin tone. The final ingredient on our list is oats. Oats are super moisturizing and are a great exfoliator!

Ingredients: 3 Tbsp of Organic Rolled Oats (grind them up in a food processor to make oat flour), 1 Tbsp of Manuka Honey, 1/2 tsp of Organic Turmeric, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Directions: Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl until they are well combined. Apply the mask over your clean face. Leave the mask on your face for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off gently with warm water. Your face may have a slightly yellow tint to it. Don’t panic, it’s from the Turmeric. If this happens, rinse your face a couple times until it’s gone.

4. The Big Red Facial Mask

Honey is a natural antibacterial, so it’s great for acne prone skin. It’s also full of anti-antioxidants, which are great for combating aging skin. Cinnamon is antiseptic, astringent, and anti-fungal so it will help reduce the bacteria on the surface of your skin. It even helps dry out existing pimples. Lastly, Nutmeg is an anti-inflammatory, which will help with eczema and rosacea. Nutmeg also helps reduce blemishes and deeply exfoliates the skin to remove blackheads. Together, the ingredients create a powerhouse mask to fight off acne and aid in reducing blemishes.

Ingredients: 1 tsp of Honey, 1 tsp of Cinnamon, 1 tsp of Ground Nutmeg

Directions: Mix all of the ingredients until they form a chocolate-looking paste. Apply the mask to your cleansed skin and leave on for about 30 minutes. If it starts to tingle more than normal masks, only leave it on for 15 minutes. Be careful, as this mask can be messy and drippy!

5. Avocado & Banana Facial Mask

Are you looking for a soothing mask to combat your dry, itchy skin? Then this is the mask for you. Avocados are high in antioxidants which can help prevent fine lines and wrinkles. In addition, they’re super moisturizing! Avocados are filled with oleic acid which is good for reducing redness and irritation. Bananas are another super fruit and also provide natural moisture.

Ingredients: ½ of an Avocado, ½ of a very ripe Banana, 1 Tbsp Olive Oil, 2-3 drops of Essential Oil (optional)

Directions: Start by mashing together the Avacado and Banana in a mixing bowl. You can mash them with a wooden spoon, potato masher, or even place them in a food processor. Then add in the other ingredients and mix well. Rub the mask all over your clean face while avoiding your eyes. Allow the mask to sit on your face for 10-15 minutes. Rinse the mask off with warm water and pat your face clean with a damp towel. Apply a facial moisturizer.
